Progress
19 JunSo I had an awesome train of thought today.
I tied up a large part of a project at work that has been really frustrating for the last week and a half. So I thought I would reward myself with a Mocha Shake from the Tully’s downstairs from my office.
The I had the negative thought: Maybe I shouldn’t be rewarding myself with sweets. *starts feeling bad about myself* Meh.
Then I thought: Wait, ‘I’m upset that I’m overweight (possibly) due to having too many sweets as a self-reward. That mean’s I’d have to be rewarding myself a lot.
Then I got a huge grin on my face and though: I’m overweight because I’m too awesome too often!
…and I instantly felt better and got myself that Mocha Shake.

(Note: I seriously doubt that this is the actual cause of my weight issues – this is the only shake I’ve had this week and I only had one last week. It’s not like I reward myself for being awesome at the drop of a hat. Not to mention having no caffeine despite three 7am meetings last week. But the route my brain took made me laugh, which is better than if it had decided to stop on the initial guilty/shamed thought.)
My Three Blogs
18 JunSo, I haven’t posted here in a while, which is obviously something I need to improve upon.
I have, however, started a new blog. So I thought I would take an opportunity to quickly summarize the three blogs I now post to – some more frequently than others. “blush*
First, this blog. This is my personal blog. I’ll post life updates, interesting stories or events I have participated in. Sometimes I just might spend time thinking out loud about issues that make my gears spin.
Then, there’s Pinheaded. This is a funny blog I started after noticing that the “Popular” tab on Pinterest is filled with quite a bit of crap that needed to be mocked. (Thanks to my husband for pushing me to start this blog.)
Finally, I just started Shapely Thoughts. This is going to be closer to a personal journal as I feel like I have a lot of thinking to process in the realm of health, weight, and diet. I am making it a public blog to hopefully attract a support community and/or offer support to others who might be dealing with similar issues.
I hope you all might find at least one of these blogs interesting and worth following on a regular basis.
Happy Reading!
